Why to buy handmade soap?
Sometimes people ask me what is the difference between handmade soap and commercial soap. Commercial soaps are cheaper and this is their only virtue.
☠️ Parabens, Phthalates, Petrochemicals, Synthetic components - commercial soaps are packed with. Commercial soap extract the glycerin out of the soap which actually makes them petroleum based detergents. This is why your skin feels tight, dry and itchy after using such soap.
Handmade soap, on the other hand, is made of plant oils, butters, and botanicals.
🌿Oils and butters are the main and important ingredients in soap. Added oils like olive oil, grapeseed, sweet almond oil or coconut oil help to nourish and moisturize skin without striping away its natural oils. Moreover, handmade soap is full of naturally occurring glycerin. The glycerin which is left in handmade soap performs as a humectant which attracts moisture to the skin. Besides that, herbs and other natural ingredients like, for example, clays add more benefits to make your skin smooth, velvety, conditioned, and glowing. Our skin is the largest organ that acts as a protective barrier between the outside and the inside of the body. Since the skin is porous it absorbs whatever you put on it.
I believe that it is always a good idea to read an ingredient list and put that product down if you do not know or cannot pronounce the words on the back of the label.
Scented with essential oils, naturally handmade soaps were meant for people by the Nature.
